Signal-Wise LLC was founded by Dr. Sean F. Wu in 2015. Dr. Wu received his BSME from Zhejiang University (China), MSME and Ph.D from Georgia Institute of Technology. He holds the rank of Fellow status in the American Society for Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and the Acoustical Society of America (ASA), and is a member of the Society for Automotive Engineering (SAE). Dr. Wu’s areas of interests are acoustics, vibration, noise control, and signal processing. He has edited six books and authored one textbook: The Helmholtz Equation Least Squares Method for Predicting and Reconstructing Acoustic Radiation (Springer, New York, 2015); own 20 U.S. and International Patents that enable one to "see" sound, reconstruct all vibro-acoustic characteristics of complex structures, reveal correlations between sound and vibration, extract the target signals from directly measured time-domain signals, just to name a few; published over 130 refereed articles. As of May 2023, Dr. Wu’s work has been cited more than 2650 times with an h-index 23 and i10-index 53, and his book has been downloaded more than 17K times since 2015. In 2018, Dr. Wu was awarded the Per Bruel Gold Medal from the ASME, which is the highest honor in the field of acoustics and noise control in ASME, and in 2021 Dr. Wu was invited to give a special talk at the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) and his new theory on "Targeted Noise Control" was hailed as a breakthrough in the field of noise control engineering in the NAE's annual report.
Signal-Wise LLC has R&D Division and Sales & Marketing Divisions. These Divisions are headed by highly dedicated experts with Ph.D and MS degrees. The R&D Division is focused on the development and applications of the state-of-the-art technologies to solving a variety of noise and vibration, in-line and end-of-line product quality control test problems. The Sales & Marketing Division is focused on establishing and maintaining customer relationships, delivering the Company’s disruptive technologies to customers, and providing post-sales services to customer worldwide. These Divisions also work closely with our partners to ensure that Signal-Wise is always in touch with the pressing challenges facing practicing engineers so as to deliver the optimal sound and vibration tools, technologies, and solutions to them and help them tackling these issues in the most cost-effective manner.
Offer software licensing to end user: The Company will transfer its disruptive technologies and knowhow through contracts and licenses to end users. With these tools, they will be able to tackle a variety of challenging sound and vibration related issues in the most cost-effective manner and conduct QC testing on assembly lines without an enclosure.
Grant software licenses to major partners: The Company will pursue strategic licensing relationships with vendors serving large market segments that would be difficult for the Company to penetrate on its own. These relationships may take the form of exclusive licenses, non-exclusive licenses or OEM relationships, etc.
Provide consulting and suport survices: The Company will provide services to users to understand and maximize the use of the Company’s technologies, educate them through training and workshop, and help them acquire a better understanding of their issues, how to tackle them, and pros and cons of various approaches.
